Another feature of the biometric system we liked is we can open it without clear vision. It is easy to feel the buttons and where one’s finger goes on the pad, no matter what the light. This is not only useful in the dark but also when one needs added vision help when it may not be available. A quick easy touch and feel entry allows the safe to be opened with in a 3-5 second time frame. Fumbling around with entry codes or keys takes much longer. If we had an intruder, fire or emergency exit was needed. The biometric system would save time in this situation.

The sturdiness of the safe seems good enough to detour an intruder in a hurry. We added a box around the safe that has an easy open door 2 second open, to access the safe door 3 second open. This box not only hides the safe from obvious view. An intruder would spend more time to remove this box before attempting to unbolt the safe from the floor. We bolted the safe in a corner, under a slanted stair and wall. Using a hack saw to try and open the safe would be difficult and a sledge hammer would dent but probably not bust open the very sturdy door.

We feel we found what we were looking for in a smaller safe with features friendly to our situation. We now have items not in a safe deposit box well secured in our home.
